Graham Moore’s Oscars Speech Will Make You Cry — In The Best Way

Posted by GreaterGoodness

At the 2015 Academy Awards, Graham Moore, who’s writing for The Imitation Game won Best Adapted Screenplay, took his moment on stage to share a pretty inspiring message.

Moore bravely spoke about his suicide attempt at age 16 and sent out a message of hope to other teens who feel “weird or different or like you don’t fit in anywhere.”

“Stay weird, stay different,” Moore insisted, before encouraging them to pass along his message when their time in the spotlight came. His words even spurred a viral hashtag — #stayweird — that went wild on social media after the show.

See his moving speech for yourself, and #stayweird.
