Jamie Brewer Is The First Woman With Down Syndrome To Model During New York Fashion Week!

Posted by GreaterGoodness

Jamie Brewer just became the first woman with Down syndrome to strut the runway!

Part of fashion designer Carrie Hammer’s project, “Role Models Not Runway Models,” the actress rocked New York Fashion Week, dazzling the audience with her confidence and enthusiasm.

Hammer’s project aims to show off the type of women who wear her clothing — successful professionals at the top of their game. None of her models have walked the runway before, but all are influential, talented women.

Jamie began studying theater in 1999, and is best known for her role on the TV show “American Horror Story.” As for her strut down the runway, Jamie says, “It changes yourself, and it also changes the world.” She truly is an inspiration.
