Prosthetics? Thanks to Legos, More Like PLAYSTHETICS!

Posted by GreaterGoodness

When we think of losing a limb (0r being born without one), we often frame it as a physical disability. Rarely do we consider the psychological side effects — another big issue. The fact that science has advanced to create prosthetic limbs is incredible. Unfortunately, however, mechanical limbs can hinder socialization and self-esteem, especially in child users who may feel “different” from their peers.

Unless they can custom-design their own prosthetic limbs with Legos! Carlos Arturo Torres, an industrial designer, thought up the idea — called IKO — as a final project for his university studies. The result? A functional, creative, and incredibly cool toy!
