Learn How One E-Reader is Changing This Young Woman’s Life

According to UNESCO, 250 million children around the world lack basic reading and writing skills. Sadly, though they are eager to learn, poverty often stands between them and the tools they need.

But one high-profile bookworm is out to change that.

Former Amazon exec and avid reader David Risher recently launched Worldreader, a nonprofit that’s setting out to make books accessible to every child and her family by providing e-readers to schools in need.

Sounds like a simple and straightforward approach to ending illiteracy and powerfully impacting millions of lives, doesn’t it? Yeah, we were blown away, too.

Watch Doris’s story for a glimpse of Worldreader in action.
