When the Frank Capra holiday classic “It’s A Wonderful Life” was released in 1946, it wasn’t received terribly well. In fact, it lost money and ended up sitting in the vaults until the copyright expired (by accident) in 1970. For a while, it seemed that nearly every channel showed it on a continuous loop.
