Homeless Woman And Her Dog Save The Day, Receive A Priceless Reward!

Workers at a premium soaps and cosmetics shop in Oxford, England were shocked to arrive at work one day in February 2016 only to realize the shop had been burgled. They were even more surprised when a local homeless woman showed up with her dog to return all the stolen items. No, the woman hadn’t stolen them herself. Instead, she and her dog had bravely confronted the thief and retrieved the stolen goods. Lottie Pauling-Chamberlain often sleeps outside the Lush cosmetics store in Oxford.
It was surprising enough when she was awakened by someone leaving the store at 4:00 in the morning. However, Pauling-Chamberlain knows a lot of the store employees, and she knew she didn’t recognize this man. As an extra clue that he was up to no good, her large dog Marley was growling angrily at the man.
Pauling-Chamberlain confronted the burglar as he exited the shop holding well over $1,000 in merchandise as well as a laptop computer. The burglar was so surprised at her boldness that he dropped the merchandise and computer and fled.
The employees were equally surprised when Pauling-Chamberlain showed up with their merchandise. The workers at Lush had a good relationship with Pauling-Chamberlain, who protected their shop entrance from other homeless people at night while she slept there.
In response to her brave action in confronting the burglar, the manager first gave her a gift basket of food and treats for Marley. But the shop’s generosity didn’t stop there.
The manager started a GoFundMe campaign to help Pauling-Chamberlain find a place to live, with thousands of dollars donated. It’s always inspiring to learn of people who go out of their way to help others, even if it means some risk to themselves.
